To be a traditional family practice where clients and their pets know their vet. Our aim is to combine traditional values with modern medicine to provide the best care possible with the focus being on what is in the best interest of your pet.
Dan and Dawn met working at a local mixed small and large animal veterinary practice. After working together for several years, their paths diverged but they remained in contact.
Dawn went on to set up a successful surgical service where she would visit other practices and perform orthopaedic and non-routine soft tissue operations.
Dan remained in local practice seeing first opinion and referral cases. At a chance meeting, they discovered they shared a desire to build a modern small animal veterinary practice, that at its heart, retained a more traditional family feel.
Dan and Dawn both qualified from the Royal Veterinary College. After graduating from university, they continued to study and eventually gained further post graduate qualifications.
Dawn obtained the certificate in small animal surgery and is an advanced practitioner in small animal surgery. Dawn enjoys all aspects of surgery but is particularly interested in orthopaedics.
Dan gained a certificate in cardiology and two certificates in internal medicine. The latter covers topics such as respiratory disease, gastroenterology, endocrinology, liver and kidney disease.
These additional qualifications and 44 years of combined experience allow the majority of surgical and medical problems to be addressed in house.
